Today’s photo was taken during a performance of Paquita by the Alma College Dance Company in Alma, MI. The beautiful young lady performing the principal role in this photograph is a freshman from Jackson, MI named Lindsay. Photographer, Simone Boos is a native of Indianapolis, IN who currently attends Alma College in Michigan where she is pursuing dual degrees in dance and English. After discovering a love for photography in high school, she launched Simone Boos Photography in January of 2009. Simone now specializes in portraiture of all kinds, and continues to photograph dance at both the amateur and professional level.

Sunday Snapshot: Foot Phrase
Foot Phrase is a section in the ballet A Pulse Stolen by Ted Seymour (see more in an interview and clips from A Pulse Stolen on YouTube), which had its world premiere on May 21, 2010. This section of the ballet is done in total darkness except for three sets of illuminated, moving feet.
Sunday Snapshot: Shape and Shadow
Simone Boos is currently a second year college student who started Simone Boos Photography in January of 2009 at the age of 18. A native of Indianapolis, Simone works all around the Hoosier state as well as in mid-Michigan where she attends school. Simone became interested in photography as a high school student and has, since that time, pursued it at every opportunity. The dancer is Sara Little of Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre (Indianapolis, Indiana). The photo was from the dance company’s season shoot for 2009-2010 specifically for a production called The Casket Girls
