Okay. Most people, 70% according to a recent survey, go to the Internet first to find, and find out about, businesses in their area.. It would mean the WORLD to me if Dance Daze was coming up first in Google! I’m an Internet/social media lover as it is, and I’d be really interested to learn how to attract MEMBERS through the Internet! Since my program is very new, we can use all the help we can get!
It would mean more students! Which would make me happy! We consider ourselves to be closer to the bigger town, but our mailing address is a different town, so it puts people off when they search “dance near big town”.

My web site is my most important marketing plan. In my area there are 42 dance studios, however only 5of them have websites. Those five are great sites. My website is hard to find. I would love to get ahead of those other schools. There is so much competition and I am very knew…..I am sure you have heard it before. I am growing fast and I know it is because of my website, but the easier it is find me, the more costumers come my way!
This would be a dream! My studio is a hidden gem in the community. It’s located in a very popular area but the storefront is rather discrete. So many people have come in and said “I had no idea that this was here!”

Having my studio show up on Google and Google maps as a top rank position A would mean everything. I have designed my website on my own and am very proud of the work I have done. However when I search for it I’m on page 13!! Who will ever find me there? I will be opening my first location in January so I will need to be easy to find to get my studio off the ground with new students. I would be thrilled to be listed first. We’re a new ballet school that offers completely different training than the other 3 schools in town that have been here for 25+ years. I’ve designed our website myself, but am eager to change it and make it easy for new families and students to find us.

There are 450 dance companies on the island of Manhattan, and most have an associated dance school. So being a freelance-dance-teacher/choreographer in New York City is particularly challenging.
Besides being part of a well-knit community of instructors and schools -who support and rely on each other-, there is, of course, always the element of friendly competitiveness present.
To be a first result in a Google search result for ‘dance instructor New York’ would not only enable me with the opportunity to make a first impression on potential students with my own classes, but would also put me in a position to make the first first-hand referrals to other resources within the community.
This opportunity for success and power must be handled with responsibility and acumen. I believe I have those skills.

I have been teaching dance for over 32 years. It was NEVER about the money for me. I didn’t even consider teaching dance a possibility! After years and years of teaching at other facilities, I found myself without a place to teach! Then shortly after, a local studio closed….so I moved on in! Unfortunately I have NO funds to use to promote my new studio. We perform as much as possible in our community to promote the studio. I do have a website, and hope people can find me on it! I would love to have my studio show up in position A from the google search. I have had my studio for 18 years and I have seen us go from just advertising in the yellow pages to google. What a fabulous freebie! In my small community there are many dance studio’s and it’s hard to catch the eye of the busy parent who needs a class meeting on Tuesdays after 5:30 because that’s the only gap left in their schedule.
This is a great method for marketing and it would help generate interest in my studio.
