Sunday Snapshot: Searching For Perfect Balance

Red pointe shoes

Pablo, our featured photographer, claims to be the worst dancer in the world. He has some friends, however, who dance in a local academy. One of them asked him to shoot this performance. He remembers feeling very surprised when the photographed dancer, Karina, began the show in her red shoes. Pablos spent the entire dance in pursuit of her feet, searching for the perfect balance. He shot at 800 ISO with a Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 at 200 mm (400 mm for a 4/3 camera).

About the photographer: Pablo Muñoz Cordero is 30 years old from Madrid, Spain. He works in an insurance company and there are two things he loves to do: taking photos and triathlon. Those things came into his life in similar ways and he developed both at almost the same time. Pablo’s introduction to photography came when he bought his Olympus E-510 for a trip to Rome. He didn’t know anything about it, but fell in love with photography right away. He is constantly seeking to learn more and shoots everything. He plans to develop his photo career “as long as I can press the buttons in my camera.” He is currently attempting to become a finisher in Lanzarote 2011 IRONMAN. Pablo explains, “It will be the top of my ‘triathletic life’ because surely after Lanzarote there will be no bigger experiences for me athletically.” You can visit Pablo’s blog on this process here: one2tri.wordpress.com (written in Spanish). Check out Pablo’s photography on his Flickr profile.
