Wow Nichelle / Suzzanne this is great!

As a children's dance ministry leader I admit the challenge of communicating with parents. I've come to realize that most, if not all of them are juggling schedules similiar to yours with multiple activites, fundraisers and events pulling at them for attention. And while dance is important to them, it is often only a fraction of the equation (sports, homework, etc)

One of the things that has helped me is sending communication through different mediums: letters, emails, text messages & phone.

If possible, assigning volunteers as corresponding secretaries to make sure the information gets out really helps me.

Suzzanne, I'll be sure to check out your blog as well!

Thanks,
Lakita

Good luck, Maria! Hope it goes well!

I have to say that before I had a little one of my own, I don't think I really 'got' this. My guy is only 2 so we haven't even entered into the bustling class/activity scheduling that happens but even keeping up with him at this stage is challenging. As a full-time teacher before I thought I understood busy, but I can honestly say that motherhood is an entirely different kind of busy! Moms juggle a lot and Suzanne's tips are spot on!

Such a great post! Some great ideas for dealing with mom's that I am just starting to get. This week is parents day and I have reminded them for weeks, so we will see who remembers!
