We had to take what was termed Modern Dance as one of the required classes. From what you have written, I'm thinking that the class was really about classical dance. To pass the class, a student had to choreograph a dance and then dance it in front of the rest of the class. It was quite stressful at the time and yet it was an experience that I have never forgotten. Thank you for your informative explanation of the different types and styles of dance.
